60D and the Nikon D600. The similarities are confined to the body of the camera. The 6D is slimmer and lighter and features a 20.2 MP imaging sensor, a standard ISO 100-25600 expandable to 50-102800, an 11 zone auto focus system. The expanded ISO range is tremendous for a camera in this category.
The new D6 does not have a built in flash, is optimized for low light conditions, has a 3 inch LCD display without swivel, 63-zone metering system for optimizing exposure, GPS and Wi-Fi which allows for remote operation via a smartphone.
The built-in GPS allows the photographer to record location data for each frame along with all the customary info such as aperture, ISO and exposure settings on the SD memory chip. Some reviewers have complained about the lack of TTL phase detection while others indicated the feature is included. MSRP for this model is only $2,099.
