The Nokia 306 is a low end product that offers many features similar to a smartphone, at a slightly lower price.

The operating system is a hybrid between the Android and Symbian systems. The device is rugged and solidly built and its touchscreen is resistive, while the 311 is capacitive - meaning less sensitive than the 311’s.

This Nokia lacks the speed of 3G in-

cluded in the 311. The built-in memory is only 10 MB however the SD card augments storage capability with another 32GB

The 306 will be available at the end of this year and is designed to offer WLAN capabilities without a GPS system.

The 306 is equipped with a camera, 2.0 Megapixels, 4x digital zoom and no flash.

The OS offers several applications that can browse through Facebook, Twitter, Orkut and Flickr.

This little Swiss Army Knife has a slew of utilities including an FM radio, calculator, notepad, alarm clock, voice recorder, stopwatch, music player, photo album, a Nokia Music Store (select markets), Flash Lite Video Player for YouTube and Nokia Maps.

The Nokia Maps are not GPS and must be pre-loaded but the system can dispense information without an active internet connection.

MSRP is believed to be around $90-$100.
