We had just contacted Kodak's media and public relations office in late October of this year and Mr. Chris Veronda was kind enough to let us know that the company's entire archives of historical photos and records were in the custody of the International Museum of Photography. Mr. Veronda also stated in a communiqué to Mac "We have exited the digital camera market, so no promotional activity around that".

Veronda's comment however was only hours before the company removed all camera-related content on their website in the Consumer Products Division. And there is more cleaning to be made as the company exits almost all consumer facing activities and transitions into a B2B concern.

Mac and I spent an afternoon scanning through Kodak's official press releases looking for the exact press release that made the news in the Wall Street Journal and half way around the world.

We couldn't find it at first.
And no wonder why. The Kodak PR team had carefully

worded the title of the press release as to blunt the impact to the very last possible moment.

The actual press release was dated from February of this year: "Kodak Focuses Consumer Business on More Profitable Growth Opportunities".
