On the music stage, there has been a shift from Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles to Europe. Almost every large film studio has either acquired or developed their own music publishing and marketing division, taking advantage of distribution channels and economies of scale as well as product tie-in synergies.
In Europe, there is a noticeable shift from the “old” traditional Western quarters to the more inexperienced “virgin” Central Europe, with more artists emerging from countries such as Poland, Romania, Yugoslavia (Balkans) and Hungaria, all of whom are almost unanimously managed by firms in the UK and Western Europe. Some budding artists are also being managed by their own local PR firms.
And from the looks of their video productions, even some of the unknown talents have managed to create and produce big-band albums that only the most powerful artists would have dreamt of years ago.
And the video productions show a polished level of technical and visual expertise - no doubt as lagers are also fast learners - taking cues from the leaders in the music and film industry.
