Being a new arrival on the European and International music scene, Lykke Li is from Sweden, preceded by other fellow musicians such as ABBA and Ace of Base.
With only two albums to her credit she has already climbed the charts with five singles in the UK, the United States and all over Europe, breaking the top 20 on two hits, Little Bit from her 2008 Youth Novels album and I Follow Rivers, from her 2011 Wounded Rhymes album.
Her breakout track may as well be I Follow Rivers (we recomment the Magician Remix), as this song climbed to the number one spot in both Belgium and Germany and broke the top 20 charts in the UK, France, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands.
Her album, Wounded Rhymes, clipped the 36th and 37th positions in the US and UK respectively and made the best album list of 2011 for The Observer, The New York Times and Rolling Stone magazine.
Lykke Li’s youth was shaped in an artistic environment, her mother is a professional photographer and her father a musician in Dag Vag, a Swedish reggae, pop and punk band with local notoriety.
